If you are like me, trying to keep your fast food outings to a minimum, you know that it’s sometimes a battle to keep your meals clean and healthy, and still keep them convenient and on budget. 

If you’re new to healthy ingredient eating or portion control, don’t worry. With a bit of practice, you just might surprise yourself, and wow your family with some amazing dishes you can make at home for very little effort and at a lower cost than dining out. 

Most importantly, by cooking more at home you’ll avoid the chemical-laden ingredient lists of so many pre-packaged and even restaurant foods.

I’ll be the first to admit I’m not really a gourmet in the kitchen, but I do know myself well, and if I am not prepared during the week, it will almost guarantee a fast food stop or worse. 

I’m a fan of the 21 Day Fix container system which helps me keep my clean ingredients and portions in check, and right now I’m doing the Core de Force workout program which incorporates a similar meal plan.
