Download Workouts from your iPhone – but Read This First!

Download Workouts to iPhone

First, the GOOD NEWS: We can download workouts straight from our phones!

Now you can download workouts, nutrition plans, and schedules, and use them straight from your iPhone – while traveling, on your lunch hour, or even at the gym.

Beachbody has released Beachbody on Demand for iPhone.  The BOD app hosts an exciting set of new features including:

  • Use of Offline Mode to download workouts for use anytime you won’t have an internet connection
  • Jump back into recently watched programs with one simple click
  • Enhanced AirPlay + Chromecast capability
  • Complete programs (+ the workouts, nutrition guides, etc.) in the palm of your hand!
  • Downloaded workouts will stay put in your offline library as long as you’re a memeber

OK, now HERE’S THE THING…

If you are already a Team Beachbody member, you get all this AND MORE immediately when you download BOD and log in to the app. If you are NOT a Team Beachbody member, Apple will ask you to sign up through your APPLE ID – and there will be “a catch”.

Wait – A Catch?

If you sign up directly through Apple, you will get NO COACH, NO PURCHASED CONTENT, and it will COST YOU MORE than if you register through your existing Team Beachbody account — and then go to iTunes for the app.

  • It’s a no brainer that this app is going to revolutionize your workouts!
  • It’s also a no brainer that you should NOT sign up through Apple’s App Store. #sorryApple

So how can you PAY LESS and get access to a FREE COACH?

Here is what you should do:

  1. Just go through your Team Beachbody account, and THEN
  2. Download the BOD App from iTunes with your own login info (NOT your Apple ID).
  • If you already have a TBB Club account where you’ve been streaming your workouts from your laptop, iPad, or TV at home, downloading (and using) the app is free!
  • If you want BOD and don’t have it yet click here to get it.

Got Questions? Here are some Q&As:

Can I download workouts to use when not online?
Yes! Just go into settings and enable Allow Cellular Downloads or just turn on your wifi to enable downloading, then select the download icon next to the desired workout title on the program page. The workout will be saved for next time you’re ready for it and can’t get on the internet.

download workouts with BOD app What’s the Beachbody On Demand subscription price offered through Apple?

Free for the first 30 days, & then Apple starts charging $14.99 per month thereafter, until you cancel or turn off auto-renewal. Again, this is if you sign up through the app store, versus through your existing TeamBeachbody account.

What’s the price of Beachbody on Demand through Team Beachbody?
Free for the first 14 days, then $12.96 per month (billed at $38.87 per quarter) thereafter, until you cancel. Or you can get an annual pass for $99.

Are Apple in-app users billed by Apple (not Beachbody?)
Yes.
Think of Apple like the middle man, getting his cut.

If you sign up with Apple (in the app store) you are billed by the Apple Store using their provided Apple ID. If you have a TeamBeachbody account, there is no extra charge for the app.

If I get the app through Apple, am I able to access my Purchased Programs?
Not currently.
The Purchased Programs feature is only accessible with activation of an EXISTING BOD membership (i.e. logging in with your Team Beachbody account info).

OOPS! What if I subscribed via my Apple ID and now want to cancel that and go through my Team Beachbody membership instead?
If your account was initiated through Apple and you want to get out of it, follow the steps below:

Part 1: Turn off auto-renew

Step 1 – Go to: Settings > iTunes & App Store > [Select Apple ID] > View Apple ID.
Step 2 – Go to: Manage Subscriptions > Select Beachbody On Demand.
Step 3 – Under Manage Subscription, turn off Auto-Renew. The subscription will end when the current cycle expires.

Part 2: Activate existing Team Beachbody Club Account

Step 1 – Search for, download, and install the Beachbody On Demand app for iPhone from the App Store.
Step 2 – Launch the Beachbody On Demand app and select Sign In from the homepage.
Step 3 – Sign in with the username and password from an existing Team Beachbody Club account.

If you don’t yet have a Team Beachbody account, you can get it here.
Then follow part 2 above.

      1. Hi Joyce, I looked into this for you – the app will save your download for 14 days, and will hold up to 7 workouts. I believe you just leave it in there for viewing in offline mode until it expires. Of course, if you have an active BOD membership or you’re doing the 14 day free trial, you can download that workout (or others) again if you still need it. It does take space on your device so maybe it’s a good thing to only keep the workouts most used and download more as you need them (or especially when you know you’re going somewhere without wifi). Hope this helps!

        1. Mine has saved poor quality workouts for more than 14 days. How can I get rid of them. I don’t need them, I can’t even watch them. I changed my quality so my other downloads are better but there is no delete option. I am on my ipad

          1. Hi Gretchen, thanks for your question – Try force quitting the app, then doing an update to make sure you are on the most recent version on your ipad. To delete video downloads you have made previously, just go to the Downloads screen and swipe left. A red ‘delete’ option will appear. Just hit that and you’ll get the confirm screen. Hit Delete and you’re done. Now you can start fresh! Hope that helps!
