P90X3 Workout – CVX Review
P90X3 Review – CVX: This one is basically a cardio routine while holding a weight. It combines resistance (the weight) with intervals at different speeds, in order to increase the intensity. Endurance is key in CVX, but of course, there’s some core work, too, for a full body burn.
- PRESS JACKS
- ATLAS TWIST
- MARCH AND REACH
- TRAVELING TIRE TWIST
- FROG SQUAT REACH
- ARC PRESS LUNGE
- HOP OVERS
- BALANCE PULL
- TWIST AND PIVOT
- SIDE REACH JUMPS
- CRESCENT CHAIR
- GLOBE SQUATTERS
In the video you might see me holding a dumbbell, a medicine ball, a towel, or nothing at all. This was just me experimenting with different levels of resistance – a plus in this workout is having the ability to modify that according to personal skill and strength levels.
The not so good:
I would caution people not to let their ego get in the way of choosing the appropriate weight. Since you’ll be holding it for pretty much every move, selecting a weight that is lighter than what you normally use is nothing to be ashamed of. You would be surprised how heavy an 8 lb dumbbell feels after 30 minutes!
