As I celebrated my 45th birthday this week, I looked back on the past year, and decided I sure have a lot to be happy about! It’s been a season of struggles, blessings, goals, and accomplishments.
On my journey to becoming a healthier me, one of my absolute favorite finds this year has been, as crazy as it may sound, my yoga pants. These can be found most everywhere, from Target and Old Navy, to Macy’s and Neiman’s, but my absolute favorite yoga pants of all time (and if you own a pair, you KNOW what I’m talking about) are my Lululemon “lulus“!
My daughter introduced me to this wonderful brand, where everything fits like a glove, lasts forever (and let’s just say you won’t be paying Target prices for these babies)! That said, even my budget-minded self can see the value and the quality found in lulus. They sell much more than pants, too! You can spend all day in the store, drinking spring water, trying on shirts, jackets, and shorts, or picking up an extra pair of socks or a new towel. But before I start sounding like a commercial, let me just share with you one of my other loves about the lulu experience: their cool bags!
The Lulu Bag Message
They’re cute, colorful, sturdy, and sustainable, but more importantly, they offer worldly advice on every square inch of the packaging. In fact, if you go to lulu’s website, and look under “lululemon manifesto” you’ll see a picture of this very bag. Actually, the more I think about it, much of what has enriched my life over this past 45th year of my life, can be encapsulated on my lululemon bag! Here are just 10 of my favorites:10. Do one thing a day that scares you. 9. Friends are more important than money. 8. Breathe deeply. 7. Jealousy works the opposite way you want it to. 6. Dance, sing, floss, and travel. 5. Life is full of setbacks. Success is determined by how you handle setbacks. 4. Listen, listen, listen, and then ask strategic questions. 3. Coke, Pepsi, and all other pops will be known as the cigarettes of the future. Colas are NOT a substitute for water. 2. Don’t trust that an old age pension will be sufficient. 1. The world is changing at such a rapid rate that waiting to implement changes will leave you 2 steps behind. DO IT NOW, DO IT NOW, DO IT NOW!
